Undergraduate Honors Program

About

The Psychology Department Honors program offers highly qualified students the opportunity to take specialized honors courses and conduct a scholarly research project. Honors students work closely with a faculty mentor to design, conduct, analyze, and present their research project. Completing the honors program helps motivated students learn important skills and gain valuable experience that is helpful when applying to graduate programs or pursuing research-related jobs.

Application & Eligibility

Students should apply to the program during their sophomore year or, at the latest, during their junior year. The honors program typically takes at least three semesters to complete, so applying early is helpful. Students need to have at least a 3.45 cumulative GPA and a 3.50 Psychology GPA to be admitted.
