IOHRM students take 2nd place at RCIO

IOHRM graduate students Lindsey Wuerfel (Class of 2020) and Kari Scholten (Class of 2021) took 2nd Place for Best Poster at the River Cities I-O Psychology Conference on October 26, 2019. Their poster, "Smells like school spirit: The organizational factors affecting targeted student and teacher outcomes," describes the plan to examine a theoretical model that links teachers' working conditions (specifically high demands and lack of autonomy and control) to teacher outcomes (absenteeism, turnover, health) and student outcomes (test scores, absenteeism, and disciplinary referrals), mediated by teacher burnout. The research is a collaborative effort with faculty in the Reich College of Education. [Wuerfel, Scholten, Huelsman, McGee, McClannon, & Bergman, 2019].
