Dr. Lindsay Masland delivers two keynote addresses

Dr. Lindsay Masland was invited to give the opening keynote for the annual Eastern Teaching of Psychology (ETOP) Conference, which was held in Staunton, Virginia this June. ETOP brings together speakers and instructors from around the nation to discuss best practices in psychology teaching through keynote addresses, concurrent sessions, and poster presentations.

She was also honored to give the opening keynote for the Free-Learning Conference this August. The Free-Learning Conference is a unique professional development opportunity that Appalachian State has provided to the higher education community for the last eight years. Since its inception, it has been a completely free conference opportunity, which increases access to high quality professional development for instructors from a variety of backgrounds and job statuses. In the last two years, the conference moved to a virtual format which broadened its reach considerably--this year, we even had participants from as far as South Korea! Utilizing the Zoom platform, instructors could attend Dr. Masland's keynote address, followed by a choice of 17 invited presentations spread across four concurrent sessions.
