The Social Psychology class at Appalachian State University, Hickory Campus, taught by Angela Napoli, recently completed an outstanding project in support of the Women’s Resource Center.
As part of the project, students applied persuasion techniques—door-in-the-face and foot-in-the-door strategies—to encourage members of the community to donate. Their creativity, persistence, and dedication resulted in a substantial amount of donations.
The department would like to thank the Women’s Resource Center for partnering with the class and supporting students as they engaged with the community. While a snapshot of the donations is pictured here, there was even more collected—highlighting the students’ commitment and impact.
The Psychology Department is proud of these students for applying their learning in meaningful, real-world ways.
