Dr. Elise Amel speaks on "Empowering Change Agents: Psychology in the Sustainability Curriculum" Friday, November 11, 3-4 PM

Dr. Elise Amel will present a talk entitled "Empowering Change Agents: Psychology in the Sustainability Curriculum" on Friday, November 11, from 3 to 4 PM in Room 114, Belk Library Lecture Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Dr. Amel is Professor of Psychology and Faculty Director of the Office of Sustainability Initiatives at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Her research interests include how individual differences such as mindfulness and personality relate to how individuals and organizations approach environmental sustainability. Also she studies the types of goals best suited to obtaining a sustainable lifestyle or work ethic.

She is the author of The Psychology of Environmental Problems and Sustainable Solutions (4th Ed.) Psychology Press, NY, NY.
